So this area of my life has begrudgingly moved forward at the constant prodding of God.  There I said it.  I never EVER thought I would be writing and sharing about health, natural health, and God’s healthy diet.  I was the poster child for the opposite side.  I was born with significant health challenges including severe asthma and allergies.  I grew up in a time of new prescriptions to help me, or so my parents were told, and I tried all of them.  To put it bluntly, I nearly died on several occasions.  By the grace of God himself, I am alive today and I am living life to the best of my ability.

It is a funny thing about physical health.  For me and I imagine many women, your physical health was a topic glossed over in your education.  Eat “well”… exercise… yada yada yada. Got it.  I just floated through my teens, 20’s, and 30’s eating “well” and not exercising enough due to the struggle to breathe and an aversion to sweat.  Many a person has heard me say that the 11th commandment was “Thou shall not sweat.”  I am sure some scribe sneezed and forgot to write that part.  I always figured that I got to carry the burden of poor health and there was no hope for improvement for me and just sort of ignored what was happening to me.

Then, I became a mother.

Then, I had a child who was sick a lot with allergies, asthma, and weak immune system and was on 4 medications before the age of four.  Then I had a second child with health problems and at 2 was already on two medications.  One night, she stopped breathing in her crib due to sudden onset pneumonia.

I started praying like never before for a complete healing of my family.  I don’t know why I had never asked God to heal me.  Was I too stuck on my pedestal of woe, “Look at Me” to ask for healing?  I don’t know.  I had asked for healing for other people but not myself.  But now, I had three sick people in our family.  It was one thing for me to be sick all the time.  I was used to it.  By my girls?  I did not want that type of life for them.  Something had to change.

So, God changed us.  He radically changed our diet.  He introduced us to new ideas in healthcare that made us in charge of our healthcare not unknown doctors and drugs.  As part of this forced course redirection, God led me through a series of in depth studies of the Bible and food ideas.  It has led to other areas of intense study—God had already honed those skills!  This section has many topics that God has given me to learn and share with you so that you can benefit.  Hopefully, the information will inspire you to dig deeper in the Bible first, and question and study everything that you can to improve you and your family’s physical and spiritual health.

For the record, all the information I provide in these posts is based on my research and experiences.  It is not based on purely hearsay, or because a company wanted me to write a review about a product.  I don’t do that.  I hope that my integrity shines through.  I also pray that you take this information and do your own research and study.  Please don’t just blindly follow my results.  What worked for my family may not work for your family.  I am not your doctor and I strongly advise you to never take any medical advice without researching it, and checking with your healthcare provider before making changes that may affect your life.  I welcome your feedback so we can all learn what Christ has provided for us.

Enjoy!
